Steps are taken each day to ensure no one is left behind.
We are working toward a peaceful and resilient East Africa
We are a non-governmental regional organization based in East Africa, dedicated to addressing the interlinked challenges of conflict, climate change, and the transition to renewable energy. We work in close partnership with the people of this region—particularly youth and women—to foster peace, resilience, and sustainable development. By promoting knowledge, advancing innovation, and harnessing the power of digital technologies, we strive to provide effective and forward-looking solutions that respond to the realities of our era.
Our approach is built on empowering communities in matters related to peace, security, and the environment through a strong focus on gender equality, digital inclusion, meaningful youth participation, and emergency preparedness and response. In addition, we carry out advocacy work, capacity building, and masterclasses in partnership with universities in the region, promoting pédagogie inversée (flipped learning) as an innovative tool to equip and inspire young people.
Examine the facts.
Over 80% of the population in East Africa depends on rain-fed agriculture, yet climate variability and prolonged droughts are increasingly threatening food security and livelihoods.
Rising Displacement
More than 4.4 million people across the EAC region are currently displaced due to conflict, insecurity, and climate-induced disasters (UNHCR, 2024).
Youth and Peacebuilding
Over 60% of East Africa’s population is under 25, yet young people remain underrepresented in decision-making on peace and security — despite being the most affected.
Environmental Stress
The region loses an estimated 2 million hectares of forest every year, intensifying land degradation, water scarcity, and cross-border tensions.
