WHAT WE DO
Our approach is built on empowering communities in matters related to peace and security, and the environment through a strong focus on gender equality, digital inclusion, meaningful youth participation, and emergency preparedness and response.
In addition, we carry out advocacy work, capacity building, and masterclasses in partnership with universities in the region, promoting pédagogie inversée (flipped learning) as an innovative tool to equip and inspire young people to become key actors in peace, security, and environmental sustainability.

We are dedicated to address the interlinked challenges of conflict and climate change. We work in close partnership with the people of this region—particularly youth and women—to foster peace, resilience, and sustainable development. By promoting knowledge, advancing innovation, and harnessing the power of digital technologies, we strive to provide effective and forward-looking solutions that respond to the realities of our era.
We operate in Kenya and Burundi, with programs that reach communities across the East African region.
We collaborate with a diverse network of over 40 experts across the region, as well as local communities, civil society organizations, and other partners to develop solutions rooted in local realities.
By engaging youth meaningfully, we transform their energy and creativity into powerful drivers of community resilience and positive change. Their participation ensures that our work is not only relevant but also enduring, as they carry forward the vision of equitable and sustainable development.

East Africa Impact Hub was born out of a deep concern for the suffering I witnessed in our communities and a strong conviction that silence and inaction were not options. I firmly believe that if we achieve peace, security, and environmental sustainability, every other aspect of our societies—will flourish. This is why we focused on these issues, which are both urgent and interconnected, playing a crucial role in achieving sustainable development and the dignity of our people.
